Auckland is on Level 3 Lockdown……

 

BREAKING NEWS: First cases of community transmission in Aotearoa in 102 days

 

There are four new cases of COVID-19 in one South Auckland whānau / family.  The origin of infection is unknown.  The positive cases are all from the same household.  The first person was a person in their 50’s, with six others in the same household.  Three in the household have tested negative.

 

The Auckland Region will move to COVID-19  Alert Level 3 As Of 12:00 pm Today (Wenerei, 12 Hereturikōkā 2020) until Friday.

 

  • Schools and early childcare centres will be closed
  • Essential movements only
  • No gatherings of more than 10 people
  • Work from home
  • Pubs, bars, cafes to close from midday
  • No travel to Auckland
  • Wear masks on public transport
  • Practice physical distancing and hand, cough and sneeze etiquette
  • Download the COVID-19 App and continue to track your movements and contacts

 

If you are in Auckland, STAY HOME where possible, and follow Alert Level 3 guidelines.  This will stop the transmission of COVID-19 and SAVE LIVES. 

 

The rest of Aotearoa has moved to Alert Level 2 at 12:00 pm today (Wenerei, 12 Hereturikōkā 2020).
