Improving the Well-Being of our People

PLEASE NOTE: ALL GRANTS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE

ST JOHN’S GRANT HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED FOR 2026.

———

The Trust Board has scheduled a full Grants Review to occur within three months following the AGM, targeted for completion by mid-year 2026, through a full Board kanohi ki te kanohi wānanga. As a result, no major decisions relating to Trust Grants will be made prior to this review, including at the AGM on 20 March 2026.

While the Trust has experienced a significantly stronger financial year, the Board remains mindful of the importance of first achieving a consistent break-even position before reintroducing grants, to help ensure any future grant support is sustainable long term.

This review will assess whether it may be appropriate to reintroduce some, all, or restructured grant opportunities during 2026. The Board does not wish to rush this process and is focused on ensuring any future grant settings are robust, fit for purpose, and, most importantly, designed with long-term sustainability in mind.

At this stage, there is no commitment regarding the type, scale, or funding levels of any future grants, although the Trust’s strengthened financial position is considered a positive factor moving forward.
